The following Saturday found me in Skipton, for a set of Lab caches connected with some of the churches in the town.
I was lucky in that one of the churches was very close to the best ‘Free’ car park in Skipton – Tesco’s supermarket, so I parked there and went out to the furthest location first and then wound my way back to Tescos
Caches No’s 5709 to 5723 – Undercliffe Cemetery Lab Caches
The warmer weather had arrived, so I decided that I needed to stop hibernating – as I had mainly done since March 2020 when the Covid Lockdowns came, and get out more.
So the plan was to go and do some caching every weekend.
was a Saturday morning in Bradfords biggest and most historical burial ground, Undercliffe Cemetery.
Caches No’s 5702 to 5708 – Rhubarb, Rhubarb
A Saturday morning event celebrating the Rhubarb festival in Wakefield, a good turn out for basically an hour or so of chat, then most headed into the city centre to go to the Rhubarb Food Festival, though I went looking for Lab caches instead
Caches No’s 5698 to 5701 – Historical Hale Lab Caches
One afternoon in January I had to take a colleague to Speke on Merseyside for a meeting, while he was there I had an hour or so to kill, so I went off to the nearby village of Hale to do the Lab caches there.
Unfortunately they are quite a wide spaced set of caches and I had neither time nor daylight to do all 4 Labs
Caches No’s 5693 to 5697 – The End of 2021
New Year’s Eve… a nice fine day and I had not been out anywhere for a couple of days so fancied getting out of the house for a bit, and this set of Lab caches suited my requirements
I ended the year on 392 caches, over 300 of them found either at the Mega/Piratemania or London Calling, in fact when I look back at the year only 15 caches were found near home, all the rest were events and visits elsewhere in the country
Caches No’s 5681 to 5692 – Durham Cathedral
Jennifer (the Wright Girls) was studying at Durham, so held an event over the Christmas holidays, a very well attended event, loads of people there and although I had gone 75 miles I was by no means the person who had come the furthest
