Caches No’s 3575 & 3576 – The Mad March Meet Once More
Time for the Mad March Meet ? then it must be time to come out of hibernation and start the years caching activities in earnest…
As with last year my attendance at the event meant I had attended twice as many events than I had found caches since the turn of the year – and as with last year the Mad March Meet was only the 2nd event I had been to.

In 2014 I went to an event in January and then didn’t find another cache until March – This was due as much to a trapped nerve in my back as anything else, I remember walking a mile to the cache, leaning on a wall to fill in the log and then not being able to stand upright again.
This year I have no such injury, but again apart from an event in January I have got no further smilies until nearly as late in the year as 2014.
Another similarity is that I again walked to the cache, this time though it was not just a mile there and a mile back, it was a four and three quarter mile walk up a hill and back down again.

As with 2014 my first cache of the year was an event cache in a nice warm, dry, mud free pub… And another trip to York, my third visit in 6 weeks.
The only way I am ever going to get January filled is to cache for long enough to go to events in pubs on every date in January !
