One of the nice things about spending a week camping with a bunch of geocachers is that you meet new people, form friendships with people who were until then just casual acquaintances and get to know friends a whole lot better.
One such at the mega was Jen of the Wright girls. We had met at events before and shared a drink and a chat and a laugh, and we spent time chatting and drinking and having a laugh with each other during the week at Newby Hall, and then when we got home found that we were missing each others company. So a few online messenger messages were passed and we arranged to meet at an event in Wales a couple of weeks later
18th August 2018 – 9 Usual Suspects TB and Geocaching Festival GC7R8A6 – cache #4533
What an absolutely fabulous event ! Ann & Pete were wonderful hosts, and I wish I hadn’t eaten the barbecue so I could have eaten more dessert ! (as it was two helpings and a spoonful of another overstuffed me conpletely)
The games and quizzes were well thought out and prepared, I spent the drive home working out ways we could adapt the ‘cache hunt’ for our Yorkshire Christmas Fayre event I’m not sure that visiting from Yorkshire really fulfils the ‘International’ element of International Geocaching Day but I am so glad I let my arm be twisted by Jen (Wright girls) into coming along and making it my 150th Event Geocache
(and I must thank Ann and Pete for letting me stay over)

As I’d attended the amazing International Geocaching Day event, and then spent the night here it would have been remiss of me not to have found and signed the cache before I left
