I started working out how many caches I was going to look for on the way down to the Halloween Mega. I could easily expand the 5 I was counting on to 10, 15, 20 even – though that would mean an early start on my way down as each one would add time to my journey. In theory the journey to Northampton can take as little as 3 hours as it is straight down the M1 from Leeds, but in reality every cache you go to adds about 10-15 minutes to the journey so 20 caches would add 4-5 hours to the trip… so the more I find before the better
11th October 2013 – York Gate Post GC – cache #2964
A nice easy drive by only a couple of miles from home. I have thought about going for this one several times since it was published… but it’s just off my normal driving routes so I had to take a little detour to grab it… I didn’t
need a GPS as I knew from reading the description weeks ago exactly where the cache was going to be
12th October 2013 – Off The Old Road No.1 GC4PTC0 – cache #2965
Fairly straightforward find… once I had got to the right level ! (the ground at one side of the wall is 6ft higher than the other)
