22nd September 2012 – St Robert GC196WD – cache #2065
One of the other guys I was on holiday with, Joe, has moved up to the other side of Leeds from Birmingham and joined a social group  there and had arranged a walk around Knaresborough to which he invited me to come along. Now Knaresborough is a pretty place so I decided to go and so on Saturday afternoon we met by the Castle and had a pleasant walk along the river.

It just so happened that along the riverside is a cave where a holy man lived in the dark ages, and there had been a little chapel built that had been destroyed later and so all there is there now is a couple of carved stones from the chapel wall and the cave… and a Geocache !
I grabbed the cache from it’s position behind the noticeboard, signed the log while the other members of the group were taking pictures inside the cave, and put it back as we left
