April 10th 2010 – N&HWW First & Last GC26BHQ – Cache #343
Saturday, and a planned 3 mile cache series walk. I Parked my car in near the start and walked down to the corner, spotted a group of people searching around, but who all wandered off to sit on a bench when I appeared… Quickly found the cache… however I felt I was under observation, and soon a couple came towards me, with yellow etrex in hand. Introductions were made ‘Geoffenator & Wol’, I left them with the cache to sign and set off for the next Continue reading

Petrol, Wells and Quarries – Caches No’s 340 – 342
April 7th 2010 – Off Yer Trolley! (Guiseley – Wot No Supermarket) GC1B2MX – Cache #340
A supermarket petrol station on a busy main road, for some reason at lunchtime they were queueing out onto the road which made it quite difficult to be unobserved logging this one… I used the shoe lace tying trick to disguise what I was really doing Continue reading
A Busy Easter – Caches No’s 317-339
April 2nd 2010 – Curse of the FTF Wharfedale #10 – Turn! GC24WCG – Cache#317
I had this thought last Monday, that I may just be able to get to 500 caches in my first year of caching. At the time I had found 312 caches and so had 188 left to find and had 61 days to go… ie 3.08 per day or 22 per week. Which sounds a little unfeasible really unless I spend all weekend, every weekend caching, but 400 caches shouldn’t be too hard.
Anyway, Good Friday and I had some shopping to do so I decided that I could get a local cache or two as I was passing. The first one of these was this one, a simple enough micro hidden by the sign for which the cache is named. Continue reading
Caister – Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
As it’s Easter I think it’s only right and proper that we remember the most stupendous weekends in the world, those spent at Caister. I don’t actually have that many pictures of Caister, I think I was always too drunk and too busy to actually get my camera out and take some !
For this Caister post I want to set the record straight… you see many people imagine that it is the blokes who went to Caister primarily to get drunk and meet members of the opposite sex, but as I will show, at least in 1990 when this set of pictures was taken, the girls were as bad if not worse ! Back to lunchtime geocaching and another war memorial… And a bonus… the cache has been replaced at some time as the original one was deemed to be lost, but now the original has been found so there are two caches !
