July 27th 2009 – Pot Bank- Beckwithshaw #2 GCWDEN – Cache #63

A nice easy find, at this cache I dropped off the “Cilacap, Indonesia” Unite for Diabetes TB

This time the shopping trip was to Skipton, and the route chosen was to take in a few caches along the way. Although there are several more caches along the route I wasn’t too fussy and only stopped when there was a convenient place to park my car and no Muggles around… I can grab the others on another trip

Another camping weekend with my friends (some different, some the same) brought me to the Kings Lynn area and afforded me time to do a few caches down there and a few more on the drive back home…

On a Saturday morning trip to Harrogate I took in a trip around the Valley Gardens to look for the three caches there are supposed to be there, only this one could I find.

July 10th 2009 – Jake’s Jaunt GC1R2KD – Cache #48
My first puzzle cache. It involved a bit of work to find the solution… the ‘Jake’ in ‘Jakes Jaunt’ refers to 70’s  folk singer Jake Thackray, and required searching through the lyrics of his songs to find the relevant one, then more Googling to find more information on the subject of the lyric to find the answer to the puzzle… how you would do this without Google I don’t know

I’d looked for this cache a couple of times before, it being quite local to where I work… but I hadn’t found it, mainly because the obvious place for it to be was somewhere around a large tree from which a large wasps nest had fallen out in a storm, so there was a wasps nest on the floor just about where you might think the cache would be.
